GOD'S PURPOSE IN YOUR CHALLENGES
Now as Jesus was passing by, He saw a man blind from birth, and His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God would be displayed in him
We all come across people in our lives who seem to be constantly busy analyzing and judging others. These individuals often sit in judgment, condemning others for situations they have never personally experienced. They don't understand the pain and struggle that others may be going through and instead choose to gossip and spread negativity.
It's important to recognize that these individuals lack empathy and a true understanding of others' experiences. They don't know where your shoe is pinching or how painful it is, but they feel the need to comment and pass judgment nonetheless. This type of behavior can be incredibly damaging and can cause unnecessary stress and discomfort for you who’s at the receiving end.
So, what can we do about it? Instead of allowing yourselves to be affected by these judgmental individuals, you should focus your energy and attention on those who are willing to offer support and understanding. Surround yourself with individuals who bring positivity into your life and who are willing to help and listen.
This was the situation of the blind man in the bible passage above. The people around him were quick to jump to conclusions and assign blame to his parents or grandparents for his blindness, without considering the bigger picture.
However, Jesus saw things differently and offered a different perspective. He revealed that the blind man's situation was intentional, not a result of sin, but rather an opportunity for God to show His glory. This perspective shift completely changed the way the people saw the blind man and opened their eyes to a greater understanding of God's plan.
This story serves as a powerful reminder that we should be careful not to judge others based on appearances or limited information. We should strive to see beyond surface-level understanding and consider the bigger picture. And most importantly, we should offer love and support instead of criticism and judgment.
Today, I want to remind you that your struggles and challenges are not random or meaningless. God is aware of them and has a purpose for them in your life. He wants to use them to create a powerful testimony of His faithfulness and strength in your life.
And don't be discouraged by the size of your problems. The bigger they are, the greater the opportunity for God to show His glory in your life. Trust in His plan and know that He is using your challenges to shape and strengthen you.
So, instead of viewing your struggles as obstacles, see them as opportunities for growth and for experiencing God's power in your life. Trust in His plan and have confidence that He will bring you through to the other side, victorious.
Amen
