YOU'RE THE BOSS HERE

Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

                            - Acts 19:13 - 16

If you are born again, you have the power to use Jesus' name to control the devil. By being born again, you have become the boss. However, simply using Jesus' name without truly knowing him and accepting him as your Lord and Savior will not lead to positive results. It may actually make things worse. So it's important to have a personal relationship with Jesus before exercising your authority.

The Seven Sons of Sceva were misled into believing that they could use Jesus' name without having a connection to Him. However, this is incorrect, as using Jesus' name in this manner is a privilege reserved only for those who are the children of God. To become a child of God, you must have faith in Jesus by accepting him as Lord and saviour.

But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. Children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God.

                         - John 1:12

You cannot force God to work for you by using the name of Jesus in public and expecting Him to show up simply because His name has been invoked. This approach is not an effective way to manipulate or control God, and it is not a reflection of a true, authentic relationship with Him.

Additionally, it's important to remember that a man will reap what he sows. If you do not sow a relationship with God, you cannot expect to reap His commitment to your words and requests. A true and authentic relationship with God is built through faith, trust, and obedience, and it is this foundation that allows us to experience the fullness of His love and blessings in our lives.

 

The devil only recognizes and obeys those who have a relationship with Jesus. These individuals have the authority to command him and he must comply with their commands given in Jesus' name.

It's important to understand that the devil is aware of your relationship with God and acknowledges your authority over him. There is no need to fear the devil, as he only shows up to test your knowledge of your rights as a child of God.

To dispel the devil's presence that comes in manners like health, financial or relationship challenges,  simply assert your authority by commanding him to leave in Jesus' name. He must obey all commands given in Jesus' name, and as a child of God, you have the power to exercise this authority. Hallelujah!

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Do not fall for the deception that some demons are too powerful for you to handle. The power of the name of Jesus is always the same and all demons, whether big or small, must obey all commands given in His name. Don't allow anyone to convince you otherwise. Trust in the power of the name of Jesus and confidently assert your authority as a child of God.

Yes, it is indeed an awesome privilege to have the authority to use the name of Jesus. This privilege gives us the power to command the devil and experience the fullness of God's love and blessings in our lives. It is a reminder of our relationship with God and the power that comes with being a child of God.

I encourage you to take control of your life and put an end to the influence of demonic spirits. Use your authority as a child of God and address any challenges with faith and confidence, commanding in Jesus' name for the rod of affliction to be broken and for any demonic presence, whether it be a pain, poverty, disease, spiritual or physical, to leave in Jesus' name. Believe in the power of the name of Jesus and trust that all demons must obey your commands.

Therefore,  be confident as you face each day knowing that your presence alone is enough to unsettle any demonic spirits. They already know you because you have Jesus and the Holy Spirit is living within you. You are in control and have the power to overcome any challenge. Remember, you are the boss, and your authority as a child of God is unshakable. Hallelujah!

So, let's take action and bring order to our lives. It's time to unleash the power of the Holy Spirit by speaking in tongues for the next 5 minutes. Embrace this moment, let the fire of the Spirit ignite within you, and watch as it transforms your life.
