DOING GREAT THINGS WITH THE HELP OF THE SPIRIT

 

He found the fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and struck down a thousand men. Then Samson said: “With the jawbone of a donkey I have piled them into heaps. With the jawbone of a donkey I have slain a thousand men.”

 

  - Judges 15:15 - 16

It is so exciting to walk in the supernatural. The story of Samson and the Jawbone of a Donkey makes it very clear that victory does not come by sophisticated weaponry  but  from the Lord. one man conquering a thousand armed soldiers is unimaginable. But Samson killed all of them  with the  jawbone of a donkey at a go and made a heap of their bodies. How was this  possible you might ask? The Spirit of the Lord comes upon Samson and whenever He did, Samson was able to do supernatural  things like what we read in the passage above. 

The Holy Spirit in a believer is not just for speaking in tongues then lying down helplessly in the presence of challenges. When Jesus said He was sending us a “Helper” He meant a helper in all ramifications. Whatever kind  of help you need is included in the help-supply of the Holy Ghost. Be it help for physical strength, as in the case of Samson or wisdom strength as displayed by Solomon. And even if it is the strength for a winning strategy in business deals, like that of  Jacob when he was with Laban his uncle, or strength for academic excellence, the Holy Spirit is able to help you in all these areas of life. 

The enemy thought they caught Samson unarmed and unawares But God used the most unusual weapon to record an overwhelming victory for Samson and Israel at large. The story of David is another example of God giving victory to his children through an unusual weapon; a stone in a sling to take down a giant like Goliath. Ridiculous right? But God did it. 

What is it that has come against you like an overwhelming tide of a great ocean. Do you feel like all hell just broke loose over you and that  you are about to be drowned in the river of confusion and dilemma, while all you have as a strategy is just as using the  jawbone of a donkey to fight an invading battalion? Keep your cool! God is about to wrought a miraculous victory with the gift that has all the while been despised in you. As a matter of fact, God likes to show up when we face challenges and have nothing more to lean on. That point when we know there's  no any help coming from the places we have always run to, that's when God shows up with a miracle. Expect it !

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.

    - Psalm 46:1-2

As you step into this new week, The Lord will use that little thing that you have in your hand (The little resources, weak connection and small business) to bring you a great victory, great harvest and a great success irrespective of the size of the challenge you are presently facing in Jesus name. Take a look at what the Bible say:

 

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

             - 1 Corinthians 1 : 26 - 31

 

Just say to yourself:

I believe and receive in Jesus name that I am undefeatable. My efforts are producing supernatural results for me. So, I rise against all odds and above every humiliating challenge. I shine with the brightness of God's glory in Jesus name. Amen
